Baba Suishaba Incense

Hand-crafted and all-natural, this incense is made without preservatives, coloring, artificial fragrances, or chemical additives. At their 100-year-old watermill, Takeshi Baba and his wife, Chieko, carry on a century-old tradition of producing cedar leaf powder using only the flow of water—a fully renewable source of energy. After forest-thinning and logging, Takeshi collects cedar leaves, which are then processed at the watermill. Tabunoki leaves, rich with natural sap, are added as an organic binder.

The result is a pure incense stick with no added fragrances—only the simple, modest scent of Japanese cedar.
