We also feature a rotating collection of original artworks by emerging and established artists, handpicked not just for investment, but for the way they enrich everyday spaces—meant to be loved, lived with, and passed on.

I’m Maggie Peng, an architect and interior designer with over 25 years of experience in architecture, interior design, and product innovation—spanning work in San Francisco, New York City, and Shanghai, and now deeply rooted in Evanston.

After nine years in Shanghai, the pandemic prompted an unexpected move back to the U.S. for my family and me. We arrived with almost nothing and spent a year living in a nearly empty apartment—an experience that profoundly reshaped my relationship with the objects that fill our homes. It taught me not only what we could live without, but more meaningfully, what we truly value and want to live with.

Pink & Tan was born from this reflection. We hope to share our perspective through pieces that are both functional and inspiring. These past few years have reinforced our love for home, family, community, and the objects that help hold it all together.
